2 c. butter or 1 lb. (do not substitute)
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract (optional)
3 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter; add sugar and blend well. Add unbeaten egg yolk and flavoring, then add flour, mixing well. Force through cookie press on ungreased cookie sheet and bake about 7 or 8 minutes in 350 degree oven. Makes about 8 1/2 dozen cookies.
